Lucy King
Senior Solicitor
Lucy is a Senior Solicitor in Todd Walker’s resource management team in the Queenstown office, working alongside Principal Rosie Hill and Senior Associate Ben Gresson.
She advises clients on a broad range of resource management matters, with recent experience in fast-track approvals, complex consenting from application through to decision and appeal, and plan change processes.
Originally from the Bay of Plenty, Lucy completed her undergraduate and law studies at the University of Otago, before undertaking postgraduate planning studies through Massey University.
Before joining Todd Walker, Lucy worked as a heritage consultant and planner in Arrowtown giving her a strong understanding of the procedural aspects of planning and development. Lucy also has public sector experience, having worked as a policy advisor and in-house lawyer prior to moving to Queenstown. This experience provides her with a strong understanding of policy development and public law, which is particularly relevant in the context of ongoing resource management reform.
Outside the office, you’ll find Lucy and her family making the most of both the indoors and great Queenstown outdoors as she enjoys knitting, skiing, running, and hiking.
